Little Tips to Book a Hotel Online

We take for granted the ability to book a hotel online today. We can effortlessly find the best hotel room as we search all hotels in seconds with one touch of a button. We have the opportunity to find local hotels, read reviews, check floor plans, and really find the best price hotels. Then, we can even find the best room in that hotel. It is fantastic what we have the ability to do today. However, there are a couple of things we must consider as we shop for and find a cheap room.

Just because we find a cheap room and the pictures look nice does not mean we have found the best deal. Many factors are to consider when making that choice. A great tool for this determination is customer reviews. Reviews from the people that have actually stayed at the hotel and know all the intricacies that are important to the average patron. I only book a hotel online when I find that I have several reviews to inspect. I even have my mother doing the same process to find the best room for the money. We do not read just one review. A disgruntled customer can leave a less than favorable report while there are 10 or 20 wonderful reviews. To base an opinion upon the one unsatisfied guest would just be unfair to the establishment and I might miss the best choice.

The next consideration takes a little more effort. I want to know what the neighborhood is like where I am going to be staying. Luckily, the Internet is a great tool for that also. Another good indicator of this is the eating establishments that are close. The hotel details will often mention the ones that are nearby. Of course, if we find local hotels this is not as much of a concern as we should be familiar with the vicinity. When traveling a distance this becomes a real concern.

We all want to find the best price hotels and therefore find the best hotel room. We would love to find a cheap room fitting these criteria. If you use the methods I mention, even when you want to find local hotels you are going to have a more successful experience. So search all hotels, read reviews, and find the best hotel room. If you book a hotel online, these simple steps can mean the difference between trouble and a great experience.

San Francisco Memories

San Francisco Builds Memories to Treasure

San Francisco is one of the two friendliest cities to which, I have been . The City by the Bay is home to many unique locations that provide many San Francisco Travel options. SF attractions include Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square (right at the Wharf), the famous San Francisco Chinatown, Union Square, Pier 39, Golden Gate Park, and of course the Golden Gate Bridge. A San Francisco vacation has tons of tours of San Francisco from which to choose. There is no City like it. Bike and segway friendly, breathtaking views, wonderful food, and close to wine country the memories are waiting to be born. Day trip possibilities are numerous and tours of San Francisco plentiful. I will note a couple areas that should be part of a San Francisco Bay vacation in the sections that follow.
Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39
Fisherman’s Wharf is a visit to remember and should be part of every San Francisco Bay vacation. From the fish delicacies one may sample to the fun of a Wharf Pass, which lets you take advantage of the many attractions and avoid lines, you will create memories the entire time you are at the wharf. From there you can hop on one of the historic cable cars, visit the wax museum, tour the SS Jeremiah O’Brien Liberty Ship, or take the “Boudin at the Wharf Sourdough Bakery Museum and Tour” to experience the history of San Francisco‘s famous breads. Only a short walk to Pier 39 and its the Aquarium of the Bay or the “Turbo Ride” to provide for the completion of a full day. A weekend on the bay at the wharf will leave you wanting for more, and indeed, you cannot do it all in one day.
Golden Gate Park
Golden Gate Park is a fabulous location for a day outing or family picnic and a San Francisco travel option that should be chose. The 1017 acres, among the world’s largest urban parks, stretches for three miles along San Francisco’s western edge. The park has many grassy meadows providing choice family locations for BBQ‘s and picnics. The park supports over twenty different sports with a variety of facilities. Several small lakes and, ready for this, a herd of Buffalo. Located mostly in the Eastern side of the park you will find several interesting places to explore. They include The California Academy of Science; home to an aquarium, planetarium, and natural history museum. I remember the T-Rex from a school outing, many years ago. Yep, the assembled bones of a T-Rex are an awesome sight. Also located in the same general vicinity is the Japanese Tea Garden, a 55-acre botanical garden, the de Young Museum and Koret Children’s quarter, America’s first public Playground. The Eastern side of the park is mostly closed to traffic providing excellent biking, skating and walking areas.
Memories
There are many wonderful memories to create within you choices of San Francisco travel options. This has been a brief overview of just a small amount. Tours of San Francisco include bicycles, wine country, bay cruises, and more. Get the most from your next San Francisco Bay vacation. A wonderful place, I love this city!

San Francisco Bay Cruises
San Francisco Bay Cruise with Skyline
Dinner Cruise on San Francisco Bay

San Francisco Bay Cruises are Luxury

The number one San Francisco travel option is San Francisco Bay Cruises that offer a breathtaking cityscape during romantic dinners. Three hours of a luxury cruise with drinks and a meal. Cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz with the beautiful cityscape in constant view. The cruise offers breathtaking views. An attentive crew sees to your every care and desire. The lighted skyline during an evening dinner cruise will have the oldest, longest married couple falling in love all over again. Not to take anything away from a first date.

Take a sweetheart to dinner on a San Francisco Bay Cruise and you will build a memory that will last a lifetime. Can you imagine, that gorgeous city skyline, at night, holding hands while you walk along the deck? I believe in memorable first kisses. Think that would create a lasting impression? There are many other cruises to be enjoyed, for every taste.

There are cruises that meet all desires.
Try a lunch cruise around Alcatraz Island or a sunset cruise for 2 hours of San Francisco’s waterfront scenery and skyline. There is even an architecture tour to explore the City by the Bay’s history from a different perspective.

Speaking of a different perspective, how about an amphibious tour?

That’s right, amphibious. Ride the Ducks is a tour from a vehicle modeled after a WW II DUKW. This is a reproduction of a historic vehicle from which to see the historic city. This tour will take it to the streets and then to the bay where you will receive a close up of waterfront interests that include McCovey Cove, home of the splash down home run made famous during Barry Bond’s historic Giant tenure, AT&T Ballpark, San Francisco Bay Bridge and much more. On land it’s Fishermen's Wharf, Chinatown, Ghirardelli Square, Union Square and even more. San Francisco is a city that is often neglected in water enjoyment. As you see there are many different water adventures, and pleasures to enjoy.

Next time you go to The City by the Bay be sure to enjoy the best in San Francisco travel options and see the other side of the city, from the bay during San Francisco Bay Cruises.

San Francisco Bicycle Tour

Bike the Golden Gate Bridge

Bicycle Friendly San Francisco Tips

San Francisco on a Bicycle is a blast. There are so many destinations and adventures that one could ride for a week and still not get to it all. The Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard St., Golden Gate Park, Ride the Embarcadero, it truly is endless.

The Golden Gate Bridge is an exhilarating ride. Stop mid-span and look down, it make your toes tingle. You are so very high above the water. The Sausalito side of the Golden Gate Bridge offers a rest area and fabulous San Francisco Views. At the start of the bridge one may pause to read of the bridges history and observe a huge slice of the bridges suspension cable.

Lombard St is fun to add to a ride. The East end of the street is arguably the most crooked street in the entire world. As you arrive you will have to laugh as you realize people live on this street. Then as you look at the guard rails you will once again chuckle as you see all the scrape marks from the cars that could not navigate the treacherous curves at a blazing 10 miles per hour.

Golden Gate Park is a haven within a city. Very bicycle friendly, the park offers some wonderful riding trails. The East end is almost completely shut down to cars, furthering the freedom of the ride. The west end is the ocean, what more would you want for a rest area?

The waterfront ride along the Embarcadero is also a tremendous ride. One can make the ride as long or short as is desired. There is a wide array of attractions along the path with a variety of places to grab a snack. Many benches are along the waterfront with grassy parks sporadically available, when a rest is wanted.

Bike rentals and tours are available at reasonable rates and groups tour constantly throughout the city. San Francisco also boasts segway tours and rentals. This provides a very unique alternative to a bicycle that allows one to tour effortlessly with the fresh air from the waterfront in every breath, without pumping bicycle pedals.

San Francisco is a very bike, segway, or walking friendly city. When the city by the Bay is taken in through these manners it provides a unique experience that will be remembered for years to come. Give it a try!
