With this method of touring the options are wide open. The New York City Double Decker bus tours have what they call a hop on and hop off pass. They visit all the major attractions. Let me explain how the tours work. The different routes visit different groups of locations. Double Decker Hop on, Hop off buses have the Uptown Tour Loop, the Downtown Tour Loop, the Brooklyn Loop, and the Night Tour. Each offer a pieceb of the New York City "pie." Each tour (loop) lasts from two to three hours, if you do not hop off. The loops run from 8 am to 5 pm. At your leisure you can either ride and listen to the narrated tour or hop off at one of the sites, visit or shop, and then hop on the next bus that arrives to continue the journey. But that is not the best of it. The best part is that the passes are good all day long. OK, even better, they are good for two or three days! Of course, the duration depends upon your choice of pass.
